Weather Clear, Cool and Sunny at 8:00AM

Track extremely dirty causing cars to have very little grip.

Ascari-Judd overreved the gear box halfway through session and decide to change gearbox.

Mario Andretti took his first laps of circuit at 9:15.

Franz Konrad will not drive this year at Le Mans instead intrusting his Lola and Porsche to other drivers.

#8 Audi replaced its disk during session.The Audis did have problems with brakes at Sebring.

Stefan Johansson says the Reynard has made great progress.

*Notes Second Session

Alan McNish had an off near the end of the second session in the Porsche Curves."We don't know what happened yet," McNish said. "They are still looking into it. Something happened, I lost grip and went off line. When that happens, you've had it." He brought the car back to the pits without the front bonnet, and it did not go out again.

Harrier Porsche blew its engine on the second lap of the first session and never made it out in the second.The team was using a Freisinger Motorsports engine. Telemtry shows a major failure.

The Ascari also continued to experience problems during second session.It does not look good for making the final selection for the race.

Panoz ran both session in a race trim. Andretti reports car to be very comfortable to drive.

Rafanelli team extremely happy with cars. De Radigues feels there is more time in the car and we should see it faster in June.

Final Selection will be announce by ACO around 10:00CET

Karl Wendlinger was the fastest GTS-class driver in a Viper, .3sec faster than his teammate Marc Duez. The Corvettes of Ron Fellows was nrxt setting a time of 3:59.1 on only his seventh lap.

The Freisinger Porsche 911 GT2, driven solely by Wolfgang Kaufmann at this practice day, improved his time in the second session. "Everything is OK , we had some minor problems with fuel pressure, but then we modified the set-up and I did a lap of 4:02, which was quicker than last year."

Dirk Muller's Barbour Racing Porsche 911GT3-R was fastest all day in the GT category, lapping around 4:11 in the morning session 6 seconds faster than Christophe Bouchut's Larbre Porsche and 12sec ahead of the third-placed Skea Porsche of David Murry, Johnny Mowlem and Sascha Maassen. Muller would eventually get the Barbour Porsche down to a 4:09.2. Bouchut would later get the Larbre Porsche down into the 4:11 bracket.
