"Sebring is an 'event' that would be impractical and unwanted if it was a fresh proposal to the motor sport community today - there are too many cars of varying speeds yet year after year we all turn out. It has something to do with the great fans it attracts, the fantastic feeling it gives the driver when you manage to get a clean fast lap and of course the history of the place - every one of our famous predecessors has been there and endured the same.
