Lister Storm Monday Testing Report

A baptism of fire for the new car; last Monday and Tuesday the team was testing the LMP900 at Dijon in France today, exactly one week later, we are testing at Sebring in Florida.
The Sebring 12 Hours or Grand Prix as advertised locally is a massive race with 60+ cars entered and a massively ambitious project for the LMP’s first race. Very little testing has been achieved in Europe but it was all very promising; the power of the engine is impressive, the gearbox and Megaline shift system work well and the car handles as it is supposed to.
The team arrived here on Saturday evening; scrutineering was carried out at 8.20 on Sunday morning and the first test this morning (Monday). The session started well, Jamie completing 13 laps without problem before handing over to Ian. Then a problem with the water pump caused Ian to stop on the track, overheating.
The problem has been diagnosed, the necessary changes are being made and the car is on schedule to return to the track for the free test tomorrow afternoon.
