The X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma

After the first foray out on the Sears Point Raceway in today's free practice for the X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma weekend, the mood within the Panoz Motor Sports team was upbeat.
The two LMP-1 Roadster S cars finished the practice session in 4th and 5th places behind the two factory Audis and the privateer Champion Audi, but the gap between them was very close.
Between the two Panoz cars, Franck Lagorce - for whom it was the first session in the 2000 car and a first time at Sears Point - just pipped the #50 car of David Brabham and Jan Magnussen into 4th place. The team is looking forward to close and fierce competition between the four drivers.
The practice session took place over 1.5 hours, during which time all the drivers took the wheel and familiarised themselves with the car and track. The cars will be seen on track again tomorrow morning at 9am.
